Welcome to Savannah Sunset, an oceanfront estate with pool on Little Bay. Enter into our great room, which is bursting with spectacular views of the Caribbean from every pane of the floor-to-ceiling windows. The extra-large great room includes an open kitchen, dining, and living area, all generously proportioned and filled with every amenity you could possibly need. Prepare your catch of the day in our state of the art kitchen, equipped with five-burner gas range, two wall ovens, French-door refrigerator, 5-gallon water cooler, blender and loads of prep and storage space.
Savannah Sunset's floor plan is perfect for large family gatherings. Enjoy many meals with the family at the large dining are with ocean view (the dining room table seats 8, with additional seating in the adjacent screen room if needed). Beside the dining area is the living area, with sofa and chair seating for six. Spend hours relaxing, reading, and enjoying the spectacular views from this lovely space with its wall of windows facing west.
The room we love best is our large, screened-in porch, just off the great room dining area, which projects out toward the sea and has spectacular ocean views on all three sides. It is furnished with wicker sofa and chairs, and a dining room table that seats four. Enjoy the sea breeze and watch the sunset over the Caribbean from this wonderful space.
The main level of the house also has two large bedrooms, both with king beds, en-suite bathrooms, and flat-screen satellite TVs. One bedroom has an ocean view and one has a garden view.
There is also a separate powder room on this level, just off the great room. Beside it is a foyer where we keep beach towels and water toys. The foyer opens out to the board walk which takes you down our oceanfront recreation area (more on that later).
From the main level, take the spacious nautically themed stairwell down to the lower level. This level features an extra-large family room equipped with comfortable sofas, big TV, and a vast collection of games, books, and other entertainment.
Beside the family room is an over-sized bedroom that sleeps up to 6. This bright and cheerful room is equipped with a queen bed, two twin beds, and two trundle beds. It has a full bathroom.
The lower level is also equipped with a separate laundry room with washer and dryer.
The best feature of Savannah Sunset is the oceanfront recreation area on the Caribbean. Here we have a covered oceanfront gazebo four seaside lounging and entertaining. There is also a waterfront platform. This protected area is great for swimming year-round, and offers excellent snorkeling and other water sports right in your back yard. There is also a new boat ramp, kayaks, and a brand new pool with a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea.
Ready to hit the beach? Little Bay Beach, our little nearby beach, is 150 yards down the shore from Savannah Sunset House, or 3/10's of a mile by dirt road. Walk there through the water at low tide, or ride on there on one of our bicycles. Ten Bay Beach, a mile-long Caribbean-side beach, is 3 or 4 minutes away by car.
Amenities at Savannah Sunset include AC throughout, WIFI, satellite TV, cell phone, gas grill, kayaks, bikes, snorkel gear, beach chairs, crib, booster seat, playpen, generator and more.
Savannah Sunset is located just 20 minutes from Governors Harbour, the main town on Eleuthera has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. You won't want to miss it. The town of Palmetto Point, just 10 minutes from the house, has several smaller stores and a good restaurant.
Five minutes away by car is Savannah Sound and there's also a great grocery store, Midway Cost Cutters.

Summary: Savanna Sunset is beautifully set up in an ideal location. We had three generations of family in residence and there was something for all of us to do. The facilities and the layout of the house suited us perfectly. We had a ball.

Summary: Savannah Sunset is very spacious and comfortable and the location is spectacular. Three couples had an amazing week. The house was very clean and pretty well furnished but it needs some attention. There are a lot of deferred maintenance issues. Lots of little things but they add up. Hot water faucet in bath didn't work. Front door key lock box is almost impossible to get into. Not a sharp knife in the house. The pool guys didn't come until we called. The infinity pool is not one because they didn't fill the pool up. The house instruction book is completely out of date (by 10 years) and promises things that are not provided i.e. welcome dinner, maid service etc. They need to update it or remove it as it is misleading. The water cooler leaks on the floor. No instructions about check in or check out were provided. The access road is terrible and you really need a vehicle with high clearance to get it and out. Nevertheless it was a great spot to enjoy the sun and ocean. The house was very good but could have been so much better with a little attention by the owner or manager.

Summary: Fantastic set up for us - (2 sisters in our 60's, an adult daughter & 3 of her girlfriends.) Room situation fantastic as my sister and I had our own en-suites on the main floor and the girls bunked downstairs together in the nautical room.Screened-in porch was wonderful! Feels like being on a boat. Nice to have pool right there and direct access to the beautiful Bahamian water. Fun to have kayaks and a SUP.Downside was that a few minor things didn't work in the house and the no-seeum gnats are pesky. And you have to drive quite a lot to get to places.But the beaches on the island are unbelievable and worth the price of admission.If you want a restful spot with incredible sunsets, this is the place.

Summary: This was our 3rd visit to Eleuthera and this was our favorite property!! The house worked perfect for our family of 5 and my parents, and Desmond just saved us when our flight was cancelled! Can’t say enough about Savannah sunset!!

We watched the sunset from the pool more than once. Snorkeling right off the deck was also very good. The home itself was a bit stuffy when we arrived, but fine once aired out and when the AC ran in the rooms. The kitchen was also spacious and easy to use. We also enjoyed the large dining table for dinners together.

Summary: We felt like we had the whole Sound to ourselves. We utilized the infinity pool when the water was more rough from storms ( since traveled during rainy/hurricane season) and used the beautiful ocean on calm days for swimming, snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking. Just resting and being with family! The house was perfect had enough dos e for bedrooms and kitchen had what we needed as we cooked most meals at the house! The screen porch was great for enjoying the tropical weather in our pj’s while having morning coffee or winding down in the evening discuss which new sea creatures we saw that day snorkeling while enjoying the amazing sunsets before bed. Wished there was more than one functional kayak is my only improvement suggestion.

The screened in porch was where I spent most of my time as it had amazing views (and sunsets) and a nice breeze. The pool was great to have. It was too windy to swim out front every day except one, but it was a short drive (10 mins) to a few of the most amazing and empty beaches I have ever seen. On the day it was calm it was great snorkeling right in front of the house. There is a little grocery store nearby, and the location near the center of the island allows you to see both ends of the island. It is a farther drive from the airport and if you want to explore Harbour Island. The staff was helpful and responsive to any questions we had. The driveway was a little dicey but the house was very quiet and peaceful. Everyone on the island was amazing. I wish I was sitting on the screened porch right now!

For us it’s all about snorkeling and there are many good spots near by. The house and pool are very nice. Plenty of linens, toiletries, and cooking utensils. Grocery store is less than 2 miles away. My only complaint is that the house wasn’t nearly as clean as last year and that nobody was there to greet us upon arrival to answer any questions.
